I joined FM in 2015 as an operator, with the idea being that it would be a temporary role for Christmas while I found my feet following graduating university. An opportunity came up in the marketing team that I went for, and I was moved into that role 3 months after I started. I became a Project Lead in Marketing the next year, working on building a new website amongst other large projects. Later that year, I was then tasked with setting up a new Account Management Team and became an Account Manager. In 2019, I got promoted to a Senior Account Manager and took on more of a management role within the team. I moved to Sales in 2020 and handled the acquisition of new business development. I loved the role so much that I applied to become the Head of Sales less than 12 months later, where I look after Business Development, Account Management and Sales Development. I’m keen to keep my progression moving in the future and would love to eventually progress to the Chief Commercial Officer of FM Outsource.
I started out as a Customer Service Advisor back in 2019. In all honesty, I started the role thinking it would be nothing but a decent part-time job to have whilst at university (which it absolutely was). However, when I realised that I wanted to pursue a career in marketing, I sent an email to FM asking if they had any entry level marketing roles. The response I got was incredibly supportive and I became a part-time Marketing Intern within 1 month. I have now finished university and have been promoted to a full-time Marketing Assistant! The internal progression opportunities here at FM are amazing and I couldn’t be more grateful for them helping me kick-start my marketing career!
I’ve been with FM Outsource since 2017 when I started as an operator. 12 months later, I took on a role as a part-time supervisor. I enjoyed it so much that I went full-time within a few months! Throughout 2020, I then moved up to a Senior Team Leader on what we call Nursery Teams – a collection of the smaller campaigns that we run. I really enjoyed the variety that came with the role; every day was different. By 2022, I had worked my way up to a Campaign Manager. I currently work with Hotel Chocolat and The Foshini Group, but I’ve worked with nearly every single one of our clients over the years! I’m excited for the future – I’d love to work my way further into Operations and look into becoming an Operations Manager. That way, I can still work alongside the people that I love.
